Board of Directors

An Overview of PDACL's Board Members

The board members meet on a monthly basis. Minutes from the meetings are available for PDACL members.  These minutes are posted on the Website and also available in hard copy in the PDACL Office. Below is a list of Board positions and members:

The Executive:
  • President - Doreen Shaw
  • Vice President - Debbie Wright
  • Treasurer - Joan Hopkins (on  leave from position)
  • Interim Treasurer - Tony Shaw
  • Secretary - Heather Mahony
  • Corresponding Secretary - Anne-Marie LeFleur

Directors:

  • Director - Kristal Harm

  • Director - Mendy Roberts

Board members are governed by the PDACL constitution and By-Laws.  Their main function is to support the Executive Director in implementing the programming decisions undertaken by the Board of Directors.  There are conflict of interest guidelines, confidentiality agreements, and a criminal record check that are required to be adhered to by any member of the Board of Directors.

We have been serving the Parksville-Qualicum community since 1959 by supporting adults with developmental disabilities through innovative programming, person centered planning and advocacy.
