Fundraising

The Fundraising Committee is responsible for developing, planning and implementing a variety of strategies to raise funds for PDACL.  Some successful past events that were planned include: the 50th Gala Celebration & Open House, Salmon Barbeque, Art Auction with Silent & Live Auctions, and Garage Sale.

The Committee is a standing committee of the Board of Directors and exists continuously unless disbanded by PDACL’s Board of directors. The Committee may be disbanded at any time by PDACL’s Board of Directors. This committee meets as needed.

Joint Building

The Joint Building Committee provides a forum for discussion of all issues associated with the operation of 133 McMillan St, Parksville that is jointly owned (50% each) by PDACL and OCAC (Oceanside Community Arts Council) and make recommendation on these issues to the Board of Directors of PDACL and OCAC.

The Committee exists continuously unless disbanded.  The Committee may be disbanded at any time by an agreement between the Boards of Directors of PDACL and of OCAC. This committee meets as needed.

Personnel

The Personnel Committee evaluates personnel matters within PDACL and advise the Executive Director and, where appropriate, make recommendations to the Board of Directors on these matters. ie: contract issues regarding exempt staff only

The Committee is a standing committee of the Board of Directors and exists continuously unless disbanded by PDACL’s Board of directors. The Committee may be disbanded at any time by PDACL’s Board of Director. This committee meets a minimum of four times per year.  The make up of this committee is restricted to Board Members and Management.

Finance

The Finance Committee provides oversight on the financial status of PDACL and report to the Board on a regular basis.

The Committee is a standing committee of the Board of Directors and exist continuously unless disbanded by PDACL’s Board of directors. The Committee may be disbanded at any time by PDACL’s Board of Directors. This committee meets a minimum of six times per year.

Committee members include: Dave McLean - Chair, Barb Read, Doreen Shaw and Mendy Roberts.

Communications Advisory

The Communications Advisory Committee provides overall guidance to the Communications Officer, Webmaster and Newsletter Editor(s) for the content, design and development of the PDACL website and Newsletter. The Committee shall establish standards for other Association communication vehicles, to be consistent with PDACL Board Policy B014 Public Communication & Operational Policy 3.1 Communications.

Policy & Procedures

This Committee shall develop and implement all the required policies and procedures for the operation of the Board of Directors of PDACL

The Committee is a standing committee of the Board of Directors and exists continuously unless disbanded by PDACL’s Board of Directors. The Committee may be disbanded at any time by PDACL’s Board of Directors. This committee meets on a monthly basis.

Music and Motion

PDACL and Nanoose Bay Lions proudly present MUSIC & MOTION! Held monthly (except July, August, October and December) at Nanoose Place Community Centre (2925 Northwest Bay Rd., Nanoose Bay), from 11:30-2:30pm - you are welcome to drop in.

Don't forget to bring your lunch and a Non-perishable food item for the Nanoose Bay Food Bank.
