Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities

Parksville and District Association for Community Living has been accredited by CARF for the following programs:

• Choices
• Options
• Network Services
• Self Help Skills
• Semi Independent Living

CARF 2008 Survey results:

• "This organization (PDACL) has met internationally recognized standards...."
• PDACL was awarded accreditation in October 2008 for three years.
• Accreditation will be in force until October 2011.

The CARF review team will be here in PDACL during the last two weeks of March to conduct a further three-year accreditation for pervioius programs and new accreditation for our new programs and the Board Governance.  This process was delayed while PDACL proceeded with the hiring and familiarization of our Executive Director, Barb Read.
